We would like to confirm arrangements for your safe return to class from April 19th, and our Covid-19 testing programme for all students:
- You will collect your LFD (Lateral Flow Device) testing kits from us when you come in for your first lesson
- After your first class, we expect you to test every week before your class. Your test result takes 30 minutes to be confirmed using the lateral flow device so you must give yourself plenty of time to conduct your test
- You will receive 7 tests in the first instance and you will need collect more from us before you run out. These can be collected from the office at Chalky Road or Foredown Tower
- If you have 2 classes which are 48 hours apart we expect you to test before each class
- Your tutor will remind you of all Covid safety protocols, such as wearing masks before you enter the building, social distancing, hand sanitisation at the start of your first lesson back in the classroom
- If you test positive, you must tell us. You must email info@aal.org.uk
- Following a positive LFD test you must book a confirmatory PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) either online or by calling 119 which should be undertaken within 2 days. Following a positive LFD test you must self-isolate immediately in line with NHS Test and Trace guidance and while awaiting the PCR result
- If you are already being tested regularly outside of the college, you are not expected to carry out further LFD tests for your classes with us
- You must not come to class if you have a positive result or if you are self-isolating for any other reason
